Bougie Fashion Finds

Recently, instead of getting my studying done I tend to scour the internet for cute crap I can’t actually afford. Despite me being the brokest nigga of broke niggas, I manage to waste my life by looking at expensive ass shit. With my hours of internet browsing, I managed to find some affordable and fashionable pieces I wanted to share with y’all. Since y’all probably don’t want to read anymore of me rambling on, let’s start this post!

The Faux Leather Jacket

Faux Leather Rider Jacket from Mixxmix , $61.09

Faux leather jackets have been trendy for a hot minute now but my struggle self was unable to afford any sort of leather jacket. Faux leather, real leather, you name it and I couldn’t afford it. After spending 37838 hours on Mixxmix’s website, I found this fire leather jacket for only sixty – one dollars. For only sixty – one dollars I can serve super badass black girl teas. Shout out to black Jesus for helping me to find this jacket.

The Asymmetrical Mini Skirt

Mon Cheri Asymmetrical Mini Skirt from Pomelo ,$19

Despite it being cold as shit outside, I found this adorable pink mini skirt on Pomelo. Shout out to Cardi B. for telling me a hoe never gets cold. Even if I’m freezing my ass off in this skirt, I’ll still be stunting on everyone. For $19, I’ll be looking fly as hell anywhere I go.

The Printed Trousers

Trousers with Zips from Zara , $25.99

From the picture, these pants may look extra as hell or super lackluster depending on your fashion sense, but I fell in love with these on first click. When these came in the mail I was praying to black Jesus that these pants would fit perfectly. Now, when I tell y’all that these pants fit perfectly, I am not joking. My normally concave ass actually looked good in these pants. I was actually shocked at how well these fit. With a black turtleneck and my black oxfords, I was looking fly as hell in my outfit. Shout out to black Jesus for coming through with these pants.

The Velvet Crop Top

Velvet Long Sleeve Crop Top from Stylenanda , $24

I had been looking for some sort of velvet shirt for the longest time and I was tragically not able to find one. After hours of picking through crappy thrift store items, I was not able to find a single velvet top. Luckily for me, Stylenanda came through with this crop top. With a leather skirt and some booties, this top will look fly as hell.

The Lace Up Flats

London Rebel Ghillie Lace Point Flat Shoes from ASOS , $48

Recently, I realized that all of my flats were on their last leg, literally. Aside from them shits falling apart while I walked, I didn’t actually like any of them, I just bought them because they were cheap. In an attempt to up my shoe game, I went and splurged on these lace up flats. Normally I’d have an aneurysm at the thought of spending over twenty dollars on flats, but my shoe game was so weak that I made a special exception for these babies. Another shout out to black Jesus, because these were reduced to forty – eight dollars which isn’t too bad when compared to their original price of seventy dollars.

Anyways, that’s the end of my first fashion roundup! Hopefully this post wasn’t too shitty and anyone who read this enjoyed it. Leave  comment below describing your favorite fashion finds.

Bougie Wardrobe Essentials

Recently, I’ve been working on revamping my struggle wardrobe full of tragically outdated fashions.  I realized that in my valiant efforts to become the most stylish girl in my crappy small town, that I owned no basic wardrobe staples. Despite me buying 50 pairs of suede skirts from Topshop, I didn’t own one plain white shirt. Not one. In order to remedy this tragedy, I’ve been focusing on buying more basic things that go with the rest of my wardrobe. Here are my five basic fashion essentials!

1.) The Plain White Shirt

On my many numerous shopping trips, I bought a ridiculous amount of shirts. Leopard print, floral, dotted, you name it. In my closet you’ll find a ridiculous amount of patterned shirts from Zara. Recently, while going through my closet I realized I didn’t have any white shirts to go with anything. My floral trousers, my suede skirts, my leather shorts all had nothing to be worn with. Recently, I bought this plain white shirt from Mixxmix for $10.91.

2.) The Black Turtleneck

Aside from me not owning any white shirts, I didn’t own any black shirts. I also didn’t own any turtlenecks. I used to be an avid hater of turtlenecks because I felt like I looked like one of those try hard bougie niggas from the suburbs. Despite me being a stereotypical bougie nigga, I didn’t want to fall into that trap. Because I’m fake, I bought my first turtleneck from Mixxmix last month. The only reason I bought it was because I didn’t want to pay for shipping fees.  When I got my turtleneck in the mail and tried it on, I was shocked. This turtleneck was like the second coming of Jesus. Instead of succumbing to the trap of tryhard bougieness, I looked like the finest nigga on the block. My normally average boobs looked like 34 Ds. I actually looked like the slim thick black girl I envisioned in my dreams. For ten dollars and ninety-one cents, I had a fire turtleneck in my closet.

3.) Black Ankle Booties

Prior to my wardrobe revamp, the only boots I had in my closet were a dusty pair of Bearpaw boots. The only reason I even bought those boots were so I could get a knockoff pair of Uggs for a cheap price. In order to replace my struggle boots, I bought an affordable pair of black ankle booties from Joe Fresh for $24.94. The heel isn’t too high and is perfect to wear casually with boyfriend jeans. To my surprise, the quality wasn’t complete crap and they go with everything I have in my closet.
